The Jolly Fryer, in Kirkby, is selling battered pigs in blankets – and sales are going ‘amazingly’.
Theo Tsiolas, owner of the Low Moor Road fish and chip shop, launched the festive fare two years ago – and it is back by public demand.
Mr Tsiolas, aged 37, said: "They’re going amazingly.

Theo first took inspiration from his brother Antoni, owner of Bestwood Fisheries, near Nottingham, who came up with the battered pig in blanket idea and shared it with him.
A foot-long sausage is wrapped in up to five rashers of smoked bacon and dipped in flour and covered in batter – before being deep fried for nine minutes.
Theo said: “Sausage, smoked bacon, batter, it’s delicious.”
A foot-long pig in blanket is just £3.49, while for people who cannot combat the foot-long, a smaller version is available for £2.49.

Opinion may be split on whether Yorkshire Puddings go with Christmas dinner – they don’t if the meat is turkey – Theo is offering a Yorkshire pig meal, of a Yorkshire pudding, ‘with our famous pig, along with chips and a sauce’ for £5.99.
