BILLY McEwan has become the latest manager frustrated by Mansfield Town's lack of training facilities.
The club have become training nomads in recent seasons since previous owner Keith Haslam let the Field Mill training pitch go to ruin.
And last season the Stags Supporters Associaition had to stump up the cash for the players to train at the John Fretwell Sporing Complex at Sookholme.
"It is unbelievable that a club like this has not got a pitch to train on," he said.
"John Fretwell have been good to us so far and given us areas we can train on. But their pitches are not ready yet so there are no full pitches to work on.
"It is one of the major stumbling blocks at the club right now. You can't run an organisation like this. You can't work on things properly.
"It is not fair on the players and they get found out."
"I would like to think we can stay at the John Fretwell this season and we are in negotiations with them."
He added: "Forest Town have also helped us out and I spent some time this afternoon before the game looking at two or three places in Mansfield that we might be able to utilise.
"It is important to have facilities. You need somewhere to go to work every day.
"At this level not many teams have their own training facilities. I have been fortunate in the past to work at clubs with decent facilities though I have been at others where they were not so good.
"You just have to take the rough with the smooth and get on with it.
"But it really is holding us up a wee bit at the moment."
