BROTHERS and ex-Stags strikers Micky and Rory Boulding - who both rejected new contract offers at Field Mill a few weeks ago - completed a protracted move to Bradford City on Thursday evening.
Earlier this week it was reported that they had signed for Cheltenham - when previous favourites for the signatures Bradford City announced they had missed out.

It was thought that the Bouldings had been on the verge of signing for City, after training at the club last week and being selected for a friendly - although Micky did not play through injury.

However, on Monday Bradford boss Stuart McCall appeared to admit defeat in his bid for the players.

And it was being reported that the duo had joined League One Cheltenham.

McCall said on Monday: "We move on . . . Micky said all along he wanted to play in a higher league."

On Thursday morning Cheltenham boss Keith Downing appeared to confirm the probable switch, whe he said: "The personal terms for Michael are good and it's down to him what he wants to do, but he has a few options."

The brothers also visisted the club this week for contract talks.

But on Thursday afternoon it emerged that the brothers' move to Bradford was now imminent.

Downing told thisisgloucestershire.co.uk: "He informed us that if the scan (on the ankle injury picked up at Bradford) was all clear that he would sign for us.

"However, we had a phone call at twenty past seven last night from his father to say that he was signing for Bradford City.

"It was stressed that it was a personal decision and nothing to do with money."

And on Friday evening Bradford finally confirmed that they had signed both players on two-year deals.

Star striker Micky had been courted by upto 15 clubs this summer.
