Late winner ruins Teversal fightback in game of two red cards
Teversal looked as if they had escaped with a point against their fellow East Midlands Counties League title-chasers after a contest that saw both sides receive red cards. But then James Ireland produced a superb free-kick to give the Leicestershire outfit a 3-2 win.
An action-packed afternoon had started when Anstey were gifted the lead in the seventh minute as Darren Taylor’s effort from 20 yards was allowed to slip through the grasp of ‘keeper Josh Turton. And four minutes later, the hosts struck again when Mason Hirst’s free-kick found the top corner.
