Godleman puts Derbyshire in command
Godleman made the first double century of his career and the highest score by a Derbyshire player against Worcestershire, passing the unbeaten 200 by Thomas Worthington at Chesterfield in 1933.
He was finally out for 204 from 328 balls when he top-edged a pull to become Jack Shantry’s 250th first-class victim, ending a fourth wicket stand of 155 in 36 overs with New Zealand batsman Neil Broom who made 93.
