Mr Walsh, 37, was found dead at his home in Blenheim Avenue, Mapperley, at around 5.55am on Monday. He had been assaulted at his home the previous night shortly after being involved in a crash in Newstead Avenue, Mapperley, and leaving the scene. He suffered serious head injuries in the assault. Officers have recovered a silver Vauxhall Astra for forensic examination as part of the investigation. Detectives would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who saw anything suspicious in Blenheim Avenue at around the time of the assault.
