MURDER TRIAL: Man to stand trial after death of Derbyshire dad
A man accused of murdering a dad in a Derbyshire village is due to go on trial today.
Daniel Baker, 32, was found collapsed by passers-by in Mansfield Road, South Normanton, on Friday, July 19 last year.
He was taken to King’s Mill Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Hide AdA post-mortem examination revealed that Mr Baker, of Derby, died from a stab wound.
Leon Lockhart, 32, of Carter Lane East, South Normanton, was later charged with Mr Baker’s murder and his trial is due to start. He denies the charge.
A jury of six men and six women have already been sworn in.
The trial is expected to run until next week.
