Mansfield District Council supports 10k race
After a successful first event in 2015 with 661 participants, this year the council is working with the charity to encourage up to 1000 runners to hit the streets of Mansfield Town Centre.
The race starts at 9am with a new and improved route that starts and finishes in the Market Place after two laps of the town centre are completed.

The council is encouraging the community to show their support to register for the run- even its own officers are taking part.
Abbey Clarke, Events and PR Officer at Mansfield District Council who is running in the race said: “It’s not something I’d ever considered doing before, being a total novice runner, but knowing I’m going to be part of such a big event for our town makes it totally worthwhile. Plus I get to help raise funds for a great local charity so I thought I’d give it a go.”
Executive Mayor, Kate Allsop, who has shown great support for the Mansfield 10k and welcomes the partnership of Mansfield District Council with Reach, said: “We’re glad to support such a worthy charity and are honoured to be working in partnership on such a fantastic event for our town. We encourage as many runners as possible to sign up.”
