Hide AdTina said: “The doctors have said we can take him on holiday with his family first whilst he’s capable of enjoying it to the full.”
Moyamoya disease is a progressive disorder caused by blocked arteries at the base of the brain and symptoms include strokes and mini-strokes and seizures.
Joshua has already had one stroke at the age of 10 months and there is a higher risk of stroke after the operation due to the brain adjusting to the eight-hour operation.
Tina recently raised £93 at an event at Fisher Lane Park, bringing the total raised so far to around £3,500.
