FOLLOWING the ill-fated saga of Goldie, Wade & Goldie's hosiery factory on Sandy Lane, does anyone recall it being worked?
I believe (I may be corrected!) the last director or owner was a Cecil Egglestone, who died some years ago.

I would also be interested to know which mill was the most productive prior to 'Lawn Mills'. Many will remember the 'Town Mill' being part demolished but had to be restored back.

MARK WILSON.
